Megan C. J. Moreland

Megan Moreland officially joined the Summit County Democratic Party family in December of 2008. She is a native Ohioan, born and raised in Geauga County, but didn't start in politics until her move to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2005. There, she worked on a combination of Judicial, Ohio State Senate and Congressional campaigns until her opportunity to grow with The Ohio Democratic Party came to be. Over the course of the 2007 and 2008 election cycles, Megan was introduced to Summit County politics through her role as the ODP's Northeast Ohio Regional Field Director. Stationed in Akron, she found that the county leadership and activists were ready to get to work to elect our 44th President of the United States, put a majority of Democrats in the Ohio House, and maintain our leadership role in the County with Executive Russ Pry at the helm. Megan looks forward to continuing to build relationships with all communities throughout this diverse county as well as electing Democrats up and down the ticket.

The former Executive Director, Russ Balthis, moved onto a fantastic opportunity with the office of Attorney General, Richard Cordray. We wish him well in all of his endeavors and look forward to his return visits which we know will be frequent.
