The candidate training will consist of a full-day session covering the following topics:

·         The SCPD and Your Campaign: Progressive Values and Positions on Key Issues.

·         Financing Your Campaign: Campaign Budgeting; Fundraising.

·         Campaign Basics: Planning your campaign; Messaging and Public Speaking; Field Operations; Organizing Staff and Volunteers.

·         SCPD Resources for Your Campaign

The training will be conducted by SCPD activists who have extensive experience in all aspects of political campaign operations.  All of our presenters have either managed campaigns, hold or have held political office, or are experts in specific skills such as messaging and public speaking.

 Time:  10:00 am to 3:00 pm

 Location: The Bit Factory, 526 S Main St, Suite 511, Akron, OH 44311

 Cost: $20 deposit refunded to you at the training session. SCPD PAC will provide a continental breakfast and lunch.
