The Akron Branch NAACP invites you to attend and purchase an ad for our 2015 NAACP Annual Life Membership & Scholarship Luncheon to be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at

Tangier Restaurant, 532 West Market Street, Akron, OH.  Seating begins at 1:15 p.m.

Our Annual Life Membership & Scholarship Luncheon raises funds with which we offer scholarships to two students from each of the seven Akron Public High Schools (and two parochial schools).  These students are selected by their principal and senior counselors to receive the Carrie E. Simon NAACP Scholarship.  Your support will help equip these young people with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

A small portion of your contribution supports the Akron Branch NAACP operations.

NAACP, the oldest civil rights organization in United States history, was founded in 1909 and now serves individuals regardless of race, creed or color.  The mission of the NAACP remains to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
