On Saturday, May 7, 2016 the City of Akron will have its 2ndAnnual Blue Heron Homecoming festival. This event is a free open house held at Akron’s Water Reclamation Facility.

The goal of this event is to bring the community together to learn what services the City of Akron provides to protect our environment and public health. As well as, educate citizens on sewage overflow, the importance of water quality, the steps AWR is taking to resolve issues and benefit the community as a whole, and the ways in which citizens can help reduce the amount of overflow that pollutes our waters.

This event will attract a large crowd of community members. We would like to send a personal invitation to the individuals currently running for a political office, as this is a great way for them to get exposure and meet face to face with members of our community.

If you are able to provide me with a comprehensive list so that I can reach out to those running for office that would be great!

Thank You,

Dee White
